The United Nations (UNO) called on the nations of the world to work for the dissemination of information through this medium.
The Government of India is showing greater awareness and commitment to this.
The government has been pushing for the establishment of community radio stations to make the voice of the community public and thereby develop the individual, social, economic, intellectual and educational level of the community.
Broadcasting from community radio station Junagadh Janwani 91.2 MHz FM at Junagadh Krishi University was started from 5th June 2018.
Inspired by the Chancellor and under the guidance of the Director of Extension Education, the station broadcasts a variety of educational, informative and cultured programs with the cooperation of the community.
